This weeks theme at Illustration Friday is "Escape".
My illo is based on the wonderful Philip Pullman book entitled 'The Subtle Knife'. Will is one of the central charactors and keeper of the subtle knife. The knife can cut anything including this world(or any other) opening a window into different worlds.

Superb.. great idea from a wonderful book!
I really like the simplicity and cleanliness of this illustration. Currently reading 'The Amber Spyglass' and like yourself find Pullman's story very inspiring.
I love it! I've just managed to get another student hooked on the series; I can't wait to see what he thinks of it. Excellent illustration. Superb simplicty as always.
