the universe glowing behind them, the great glowing moon. Did they sit quietly and sip, did they speak, did the stars blink and listen ?

Forgive me, sweet enchanting ancients, I'm of the modern world and noisy. I leave, quiet now, under your spell.

So sublime! If there was an ancient Scandinavian folk tale about tree-dwelling tea-drinking moon-bathers then this would be *the* picture to illustrate that tale. I love it! ... At first I was a little worried that the teapot would slide down the branch (but then I'm the sort of person who straightens picture frames and books even though I'm genetically messy, go figure!) - once I got over myself I found that it soothed my fractious mind.
Some define art as: "the creation of beautiful or significant things"; "objects ... that have aesthetic value or express symbolic meaning"; "... having meaning beyond simple description ... A medium of expression where the individual and culture come together"; "visionary (collective) art is greater than its creator and draws on primordial images and forces". Which is all a very long-winded way of saying that by any definition we are looking upon 'art' here. Thanks for inspiring me ... its even given me the urge to write a story, now that is amazing!

This is really lovely ! really like this idea. Reminds me of Pearl Jams "In my tree",,.
~Up here in my tree yeah...
Newspapers meant enough to me yeah...no...
No more crowbars to my head yeah...
I'm trading stories with the leaves instead yeah...
Wave to all my friends yeah...
They don't seem to notice me no...
All their eyes trained on the street yo oh...
Sidewalk cigarettes and scenes yeah...yeah..."

Yours is one the sites that nmakes me pause in my busy day and think to myself,"(*Sigh*),How lovely." Thanks for keeping up the great work! This sweet old couple makes me smile every time I look at them. Did you notice in the upper left portion of the sky- the purple shadow there looks like an old lady sitting on a rock, with her back to us? heehee!
