fire and ice
Yesterday I cleaned out the fridge. Got rid of old and rot. And went and bought fresh and promising. Last night I cooked, washed, skinned, boiled and baked, waited, watched and checked. We ate happily flesh from bone, red skinned potatoes. Me and both of you. I felt purpose and happiness as I let you fill your bellies as I filled mine with accumulated baking, slow cooking, eatten full of love and sleep and sweetness.
